Bilingual Benefit Access Advocate (Spanish-speaker)

Status: Full-time (40 hrs per week)
Compensation: $16-19/hour; commensurate with experience.

Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is a private nonprofit located in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, capacity building, and advocacy. Founded on the belief that “people need people,” CPACS is the first, largest and oldest organization in the Southeast to focus on issues and concerns of Asian Americans, especially women, children and families with low incomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between CPACS and the Asian and Pacific Islander, Latino, and/or Limited English Proficient (LEP) and underserved communities.
  • Provide outreach and advocacy for access to benefits information for households among the Asian and Pacific Islander, Latino, and/or LEP communities.
  • Attend trainings, community events, workgroups, and community partner meetings on behalf of CPACS to advocate for food security and benefit access policy.
  • Track and research internal and external data with focus on food insecurity and benefit access in the state of Georgia.
  • Develop and maintain report on food insecurity findings and resources for LEP and underserved communities.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with community partners, state and federal agencies, and community-based organizations in advocacy effort that will contribute to the self-sufficiency and the well-being of the target communities.


  • Bachelor Degree preferred (BA or BSW);
  • Some experience in serving, and advocating on behalf of immigrant, refugee, LEP and/or underserved individuals;
  • Prior experience with advocacy and/or social services;
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize duties in fast-paced environment;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish; proficiency in additional languages is a plus;
  • Candidate must have a dedication to the well-being of refugees, immigrants, and underserved communities.
