Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) is a private nonprofit located in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, capacity building, and advocacy. Founded on the belief that “people need people,” CPACS is the first, largest and oldest organization in the Southeast to focus on issues and concerns of Asian Americans, especially women, children and families with low incomes.

Position Summary: The Health/Prevention department scope of work includes community health education, outreach, substance misuse prevention, Affordable Care Act, and victim services. The Health Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the various department programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Health/Prevention management staff to create and implement department communications plan
  • Update and maintain Health/Prevention website (GATE) and social media platforms with support from CPACS Marketing and PR
  • Write/draft and design all original content and responses related to current events and social media content and incidents that may occur
  • Oversee all Health/Prevention marketing and announcements
  • Plan, design, coordinate and oversee production and maintenance of all Health/Prevention print publications
  • Support Health/Prevention team’s fundraising events by producing event materials, graphics, and technical support for online events
  • Build CPACS Health/Prevention brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content. This involves developing content strategies, growing an online community and tracking that community’s growth.
  • Provide program support to include all manner of collateral design and content creation (i.e., brochures, presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, press-releases, etc.)
  • Work alongside Marketing and PR to build and sustain relationships with media outlets and draft press releases for events
  • Represent the department at public outreach, tabling, and speaking events
  • Other duties as assigned

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or qualified experience.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Work, Excel, and Power Point, as well as online communications.
  • Knowledge/ proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships with good communication, and listening skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be flexible, and work independently;
  • Ability to successfully manage prioritization of tasks related to multiple projects.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relations with a variety of vendors, individuals, and organizations.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience working with AAPI and immigrant/refugee communities.
